Environmental Management

The GOL Group was awarded ISO14001 accreditation in 2008.

In line with the accreditation The GOL Group has implemented an Environmental Management System to minimise our impact on the environment in four critical areas:

• Paper and plastics
  
  
• Vehicles
  

Recycling
The GOL Group operates a recycling scheme at its offices for paper, cardboard, cans and food debris.

Biodegradable materials
Of the cleaning materials we use, 80% biodegrade within 24 hours. The remaining 20% are regularly reviewed with the aim of finding replacements when they become available on the market.

Green supply chain
The GOL Group prefers to work with suppliers who are taking positive steps to manage their environmental impact and we regularly monitor suppliers’ progress in adopting ‘greener’ policies.
